The first set of Three Essentials which i feel that one has to remember while fighting ( and wishing to resolve a fight) are these:
The First Set of Three Essentials:
Well, to begin with , a fight happens when :
a. Expectations aren't exactly along the same page
b. There is too much love to let some third one into 'our' world
c. There is distance
I will tell you how... Let us assume you are in a relationship and all starts well.. at that point you are so rosy eyed that by default its only u and your better half all around each other's lives.. this becomes a practice ... which is good... this is the building of the 'our' world.. then when there is another commitment creeping in, you still expect to go on being to only one in their life but well, face the fact , it doesnt happen.. that's expectations for you.
But your boss isn't cupid himself and he really doesnt care if it's your third month anniversary or your significant other's mom is on the line.. so there you are dying to keep up and once more, face it, you fail to strike the balance mostly... that's loss of or difference in expectation... and the worst is when you cant meet... that is distance enough! No one needs to be packed off to south pole for a fight to brew up... simple as that logic is, that is distance... now this combination is like coffee, milk and sugar- just a perfect blend! While on hand you get strong steaming coffee, on the other you get a strong steaming war!
Now that we have seen what an assumption can do to you, let me take you further .. that is to the second set of three essentials...
The Second Set of Three Essentials:
The Three Essentials during and post a fight are :
a. Understanding
b. Trust
c. And, the good old Love :)
With a strong and steaming fight in hand , you'd really not want to spill it or burn yourself.. so play it safe... you have fought? then shut up for a while.. think about what made your other half say or do what they did.. and whether what you are planning to do next is the best for both of u... think about yourself... think about what you feel about what you did.. that is understanding ... goes hand in hand with the next essential...
Here, its like blind-folding yourself, and with another person's guiding walking on paper plates to win a game... sometimes we all think, that when we hold reins tight we will get what we want, but for once just let it go and see what you receive in the end... what i am talking about is trust... trust abundantly and you will see good old love gushing towards you in leaps and bounds ...
Aaaaand tada, you will have a warm cup of coffee, perfect to your liking, with its original flavour and charm in your hands... sip on, and never forget The Essentials :)
Signing off,
Me
